ApisUK.com
APiS UK aims to fill the gap between the excellent beekeeping magazines on offer in the UK, USA, Europe and other areas and the scientific journals and their output of important but sometimes extremely complex research information. We aim to keep beekeepers and others interested in bees and beekeeping up to date with the science of bees by offering readable ‘bee science’ articles that we believe will be of interest to all. But there are several other aspects to beekeeping that are often ignored in the magazines and journals such as bee poetry; honey cookery; beekeeping history and figures from the past and other perhaps quirky beekeeping facts and stories that might be missed in the mainstream arena and these aspects of beekeeping will also be covered. We welcome comment and we also welcome articles for publication – as long as they conform to the general tenor of APiS UK thinking. We don’t pay but we do get your name out there!
APiS UK has been going since April 2002 but production and editorial problems prevented continuous production over the last year. These technical problems have now been sorted out and we are now well set up for the future so if you want to keep up to date with the science of bees, simply keep reading and enjoy.
